As we mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, Sysmex South Africa is proud to support this global initiative aimed at raising awareness about the importance of early detection, prevention, and supporting those affected by breast cancer. Breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers among women worldwide, and early detection significantly improves survival rates.
This year, we are excited to announce that Nonkululeko Ngwane, our dedicated Life Sciences Sales Specialist, will be leading an internal event to raise awareness among our colleagues. The event will focus on educating employees about the importance of regular screening, self-examinations, and early diagnosis as crucial steps in the fight against breast cancer.
Nonkululeko’s event will also provide valuable information on prevention measures, including maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and offer guidance on how we can support those currently battling breast cancer, as well as their families. As part of our commitment to employee wellness, this initiative is designed to empower our colleagues with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed health decisions.
